OSHA on Online Courses:
Hands-on Skills Must Be Included
In a recent letter of interpretation, OSHA held that online First Aid and CPR courses must contain hands-on training to comply with OSHA requirements for such training. This means that those "get your instant Frist Aid or CPR certification online now" courses that can be found on the web don't meet the standards. Additionally, the state of Michigan doesn't recognize these online courses for professional licensure requirments.
